Drainage Solutions

Standing water damages slabs, saturates soil, erodes slopes, and drowns a septic field. We design and install drainage that fits the lot so runoff is controlled, the landscape holds, and the onsite system stays dry enough to work. Household wastewater still belongs in a permitted septic system. This page is about rain and site water, not a pipe to the creek for sewage.

Solid State Septic for drainage on your property

California lots in Ramona, Fallbrook, and the backcountry shed water fast on granite and hold it too long in clay. Either way, uncontrolled flow undercuts grades, stresses foundations, and soaks leach fields until they fail.

We look at how water actually moves across your property, then install drainage that reduces ponding and erosion while protecting the tank and drainfield. New work and corrections to an existing setup are both in scope when the goal is to manage stormwater on the parcel—not to bypass county OWTS rules.

Tank Talk: News from the Field

Protect the drainfield. Pump the tank on schedule.

No. Septic effluent cannot be sent to a creek, culvert, roadside ditch, or storm drain and called drainage. That is not a standard county OWTS permit, and it is not a service we sell.

No. A French drain moves stormwater. A leach field disperses treated septic effluent. Connecting them saturates the field and can put sewage where it does not belong.

Directing rain away from the house and drainfield may not need an OWTS permit. Changing or replacing the septic dispersal system does. We will state which applies after we see the site.

Only if runoff was drowning a field that still works. If the septic system has failed, drainage alone will not fix it.
